About me
With an unconventional career path and diverse professional and life experiences, I am truly grateful to have found my purpose: enhancing the lives and work of individuals and organizations. Throughout my journey, the human Faktor, resilience – growth despite challenges – and courage have been constant themes.
Every human being strives for autonomy, competence, and social connection. Our ability to sustain high performance while maintaining well-being depends on how well we nurture these fundamental needs. Early on, I realized that, unlike machines, humans don’t operate on a simple input-output basis. Optimizing human potential requires a fundamentally different approach – one that acknowledges the complexity of our “black box” beneath the surface, our human Faktor.
I also learned that life itself holds no inherent purpose – unless we give it meaning. For me, life is about defining one’s purpose, embracing the journey, and developing resilience along the way. Applied to leadership, this means that sustainable high performance and well-being can only coexist when we create a shared vision and purpose, understand what truly matters to people, and align with their intrinsic motivations.
Outside of work, I find balance in nature – where I can disconnect from the noise and reconnect with what truly matters. I draw energy from sports, music, friends, and family, as well as yoga, reading, silence, and reflection. Like a muscle, true strength lies in balancing tension and relaxation – for the body, mind, and soul.
Oh, and one more thing:
I am a cat person.
And a dog person.
Yes, both are possible.
Because life isn’t black and white – at times it’s about the nuances in between.
